Namibia's Dry-Season Advantage

May to September is Namibia's dry winter, and it's when Etosha does most of the work for you — waterholes shrink, animals cluster around what's left, and the cooler air makes climbing the dunes at Sossusvlei and Deadvlei genuinely pleasant rather than punishing.

The Skeleton Coast runs on its own calendar: December to March brings less of the coastal fog that rolls in most of the year, and better light for photographing the shipwrecks scattered along it. Most itineraries we build pair the desert interior with a coastal close, timed to whichever season the traveler actually cares about more.
