Terms of Service

These terms are between you and Nara Africa, of Block Jj 36&37, Mwanama Oloirien, Arusha, Tanzania. By using this website, creating an account, sending an enquiry or placing an order, you accept them.

This is the most important thing on this page. Nothing on this website takes a payment, and nothing you submit here is a confirmed booking. Prices shown are indicative starting rates for low season and change with season, party size and accommodation tier.

A booking only exists when all three of these have happened:

• you have sent us an enquiry,
• we have written back confirming availability and a final price, and
• you have paid the deposit.

Until then we hold nothing for you, and a price we have quoted may change if supplier rates or park fees move.

Names on a booking must match the passports you will travel on. Park permits, domestic flights and gorilla permits are issued against those names and usually cannot be changed once issued. If a correction is needed because of information you gave us, any reissue cost is yours.

You are responsible for your own passport validity, visas, vaccinations and entry requirements. We will tell you what we know, but we cannot be responsible for a refused entry or a missed departure.

Deposit terms, the balance due date, the cancellation schedule and the costs that can never be refunded are set out in full in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Quoted prices exclude international flights, visas, travel insurance, optional activities, gratuities and, where applicable, 18% VAT.

You may create an account to track your enquiries and save a wishlist. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for what happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access to it.

We may suspend or close an account that is used to abuse the site, to send fraudulent enquiries, or to harass our staff or collaborators.

Items in the shop are antiques, handcrafts and artworks. Many are one-of-a-kind, so availability is confirmed only when we write back. A shop order placed on this site is an enquiry, not a purchase, and no payment is taken here. Shipping, duties and import charges to your country are yours unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Colour and grain vary between handmade pieces, and photographs are a guide rather than an exact representation.

Applying to the talent pool does not create employment, a contract or any guarantee of work. Applications are reviewed by our operations team and approved by the CEO, and we may decline without giving a reason. Any engagement that follows is governed by a separate written agreement.

Where enabled, the assistant on this site is an automated tool. It can be wrong about prices, availability, park conditions and travel requirements. Nothing it says is a quote or a booking, and only a written confirmation from our team is binding. Do not enter passport numbers, payment details or medical information into it.

The photography, itineraries, journal writing and design on this site belong to Nara Africa. You may share links and short quotations with attribution. You may not republish our photographs or copy our itineraries into a competing offer without written permission.

If you send us photographs or reviews, you keep ownership but allow us to show them in our marketing with credit, unless you tell us otherwise.

Wildlife is wild. Game drives, walking safaris, crater descents, balloon flights, high-altitude trekking and remote travel carry risks that cannot be removed. You take part voluntarily and accept those risks. You must follow the instructions of your guide at all times — most serious incidents follow a guest ignoring one.

Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical treatment, emergency evacuation and repatriation is a condition of travelling with us.

We take responsibility for arranging your trip with reasonable skill and care, and for the acts of the guides and vehicles we directly supply. We are not responsible for the failures of airlines, independent lodges, or authorities operating the parks, beyond using reasonable care in choosing them.

Except where the law does not allow it to be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence — our total liability in connection with a trip is limited to the amount you paid us for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as missed connections onward, lost earnings or lost enjoyment.

Itineraries can change. Weather, road conditions, park closures, animal movements and vehicle breakdowns all force changes on the ground. Your guide may vary a route for safety or for a better sighting. Where a change is material we will tell you and, wherever possible, offer an equivalent alternative.

Tell your guide or camp manager at the time. Most problems can be fixed on the spot and almost none can be fixed after you have flown home. If it is not resolved, write to inquiry@naraafricasafaris.com within 28 days of returning, and we will respond within 30 days.

These terms are governed by the laws of Tanzania, and the courts of Tanzania have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, this does not remove protections you have under the law of your home country that cannot be set aside by agreement.

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your trip is the one published when we confirmed your booking. Changes are shown by the date at the top of this page.
